Bassinet and Blood-Work

On Saturday, David and I used some of our credit card points to buy our bassinet.  It matches the future nursery quite nicely.  You may think it's early to buy things, but we want to include a photo of the nursery in our profile for birthmothers to see.  We want them to see that their baby will have a room to himself that is cozy and inviting.  It was fun putting it together with David!  It vibrates, has a mobile that lights-up, and it plays music.  Incidentally, the music leaves a bit to be desired, but I think we can take care of that!  :)
I just got back from having 3 vials of blood drawn for my physical, which is on Tuesday of next week.  David will have his on Monday.  Once we are done with those, we will just need to have a drug test.  This is all part of our home study.  On Monday of next week, we will also have our individual interviews as well as our infant care meeting.  We're very excited!!!
Please help us with our Yard Sale on November 1st!  Thank you to L and J for giving us 3 great big boxes of stuff to sell.  You guys are great friends!

Help Us!

We are having another yard sale at my parent's house on November 1st!  We need all the help we can get.  If you have anything you would like to get rid of, we will come take it away!

Moving Along!

We are super excited that we seem to be moving along very quickly with our home study paperwork.  Last night, we attended our legal issues meeting.  We didn't get to visit with the lawyer, but it was still helpful to discuss things that may come up with the adoption.  We have already sent our fingerprints to the FBI, and our doctor's appointments are scheduled to happen in the next 2 weeks.  I pray that we won't have to wait long once we are waiting!  We both can't wait to bring Baby Osborne home.  :)

Our Adoption Journey

I am proud to say that I have just finished my self-study.  Originally, the paperwork was about 5 pages.  Now it is 5!  David is working on his on our other computer.  We are be blessed to be going on this adoption journey together.  Last weekend, our friends came together and helped us with a yard sale which raised about $450.  We hope to have another one soon.  On Tuesday, we will meet our social worker for our first interview.  We are very excited!  Thank you for all the well-wishes!
