On Saturday, David and I used some of our credit card points to buy our bassinet. It matches the future nursery quite nicely. You may think it's early to buy things, but we want to include a photo of the nursery in our profile for birthmothers to see. We want them to see that their baby will have a room to himself that is cozy and inviting. It was fun putting it together with David! It vibrates, has a mobile that lights-up, and it plays music. Incidentally, the music leaves a bit to be desired, but I think we can take care of that! :)
I just got back from having 3 vials of blood drawn for my physical, which is on Tuesday of next week. David will have his on Monday. Once we are done with those, we will just need to have a drug test. This is all part of our home study. On Monday of next week, we will also have our individual interviews as well as our infant care meeting. We're very excited!!!
Please help us with our Yard Sale on November 1st! Thank you to L and J for giving us 3 great big boxes of stuff to sell. You guys are great friends!

I don't know how on earth we are going to afford it all. This is all quite daunting!
We found what we liked in the stores then we shopped online to find things cheaper. We got a lot for the nursery on Amazon.com. Consignnment shops have good deals on baby clothes too. We have a big consignment event in Rome every season.

We've been lucky to have some kind people give us some things like a mobile already. I've gone to a couple yard sales also. It's so strange though- we could get picked in a month or 2 years. You just never know. We went ahead and did a baby registry at Target and Baby's R Us. We also have a wishlist at Wal-mart. It is fun to shop, even when you can't buy anything yet! :)
I also highly recommend looking in consignment stores. If you want me to keep my eye out for anything up here, let me know!
